With such a large project comes a large supply chain which spans across a variety of industries and trades. Therefore, Gilston Park Estate will be using both local and national suppliers to help deliver new homes, infrastructure and facilities to East Herts and Harlow.

Places for People will work with local businesses and local chambers of commerce where possible to help local supply chains.

Places for People select sub-contractors who will help us build high quality and safe homes which are efficient and cost effective, suppliers must also work in accordance with our values to minimise impact to the environment and our neighbours. What we look for:

  • Financial, commercial and technical capability to meet our requirements.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities, environmental issues, safe systems of working and corporate responsibility.
  • If you’re a contractor (building, grounds maintenance, cleaning) we encourage you to be Constructionline accredited and CHAS compliant or similar Safety Systems in Procurement (SSIP) as a pre-qualifying standard.

Places for People embrace SPIRIT values which underpin the behaviours, practices and approach which we want to see demonstrated by our supply chain. These values include support, positivity, integrity, respect, innovation and togetherness.

In response to working with us and following our values, we will ensure suppliers are paid on time and recommended for future use.
