Have your say on Gilston Area Neighbourhood Plan – East Herts District Council
A vision of the future for the Gilston Area has been put together by the Hunsdon, Eastwick and Gilston Neighbourhood Plan Group.
It looks at themes such as the promotion of sustainable development; village character and landscape alongside many other important themes in their area.
A neighbourhood plan puts in place planning policy for a neighbourhood area to guide future development and is adopted by the Local Authority as part of the statutory development plan. Before the planning authority, which is East Herts Council, can adopt the plan, it needs to firstly hear the views of the public. After this consultation closes, the plan is then assessed by an independent examiner and if successful residents will vote on the plan at a referendum.
The consultation runs for eight weeks until 5pm on September 15.
The Neighbourhood Plan, supporting documents and an online comment form can be found on our website.
Due to the closure of the council office and social distancing measures, the council will not be providing hard copies of the consultation documents in its offices and other places. Instead all the submission documents are available to see on the website above, but should you require an alternative way of accessing these documents, please call 01279 655261.
